Michelle Obama Promotes Healthy Lifestyle in Dallas

North Texas news – The first lady, Michelle Obama, arrived in the Fort Worth Metroplex on Thursday to mark the second year anniversary of her healthy lifestyle program, “Let’s Move.”

The initiative began as an attempt to fight rising cases obesity in children and has been promoted by Michelle Obama nationwide, both through schools and television programs. The program has even challenged her to test her own athletic abilities. Dallas local news followed Obama’s activities in this final event in Texas, before she continued on to Florida and Washington.

The first lady celebrated the occasion by living with students from the Nancy Moseley school, reported Dallas Texas news. The event included the filming of the television program “Top Chef” for Bravo television channel. Students from the school took part in preparing and presenting food with Michelle Obama. In addition, athletes from the area were invited to attend in the hope of motivating children to eat healthily and do exercise.

On Thursday night, Fort Worth news confirmed her attendance at a well-known restaurant, where she conversed with parents on topics ranging from healthy eating habits in the home to nutrition, in the hope of impacting the alarming obesity rates in children.
