Haruno Yoshida appointed president of BT Japan

BT today announced the appointment of Haruno Yoshida to head its operations in Japan. As president for Japan, Haruno will drive the strategy and execution of all of BT’s business operations in the country.

Haruno has 20 years of global sales experience in the communications industry, during which she repeatedly developed commercial successes with multinational enterprise customers, in Japan and around the world. She is also seen as a role model for the advancement of women in business in Japan.

Haruno started her career with Motorola in Japan and then moved to a telecommunications company in Canada. From 2000 to 2008, she held a variety of roles at NTT in Japan and in the United States. Prior to joining BT, Haruno was general manager at Verizon Business, heading the company’s enterprise sales and executing the company’s growth strategy in Japan.

In Japan, BT continues to strengthen its 20- year presence through, the joint venture of KDDI & BT Global Solutions (KBGS) and partnerships with IT holdings and Hitachi. It also delivers services for some of the world’s largest multinational companies that are actively expanding their operations into Japan.
