Truck drivers nationwide will be met with new challengers during 2012. Trucking is one of the few occupations that have survived the economic turmoil and are growing at a steady pace. Many industries are still suffering and there are ongoing redundancies and business closures throughout the country. Wages have stayed low and jobs are scarce for many Americans. The Truck Driver is the lucky one. Jobs for truck drivers right now are in abundance – and the good driver can bring home a very decent pay package.

Some carriers are still taking 3-4 weeks to review an application. Drivers need to work and will not wait around long.
