PICTURE-IN-PICTURE Web Browsing Experience for multi-task users by Avant Browser
- Detaching Tabs
A detached tab is an open web page which can be detached/”drag” from the main browser window which is essentially a “Stay on Top” feature. It can hover above other applications while remaining in the foreground. As pictured below, a web based messenger can remain in the foreground and visible while you’re working in another application such as MS Word. This feature is highly useful for those who multi-task with interactive web-based applications.
- Split View
Split view adds to Avant Browser’s multitasking functionality by providing an easy way to view multiple different web sites at the same time. Split view adds another dimension to Avant’s customizable interface layout. As pictured below, you’re able to listen to music and browse headlines at the same time while remaining completely in control of what’s happening in your browser. Swapping the location of each session is easy: in the example, simply right-click the tab button of the music site (in Image 9) and select “Move to The Other Side”.
As pictured above, listening to online media while reading the news is a prime example of how Avant Browser’s split view interface can be used. This feature is also useful for news junkies who like reading different opinions of stories from different sources or similarly if you’re learning a new language and viewing different language versions of Wikipedia articles.
