Xelleon Ignores Motion Picture Association, To Push Rick Ross Raw Footage To Public

Xelleon PLC (Frankfurt: XLL) is being criticized heavily for allowing content from “Behind The Scenes” to be premiered on the Simpozia website upon the website’s launch. In particular, a video provided by Behind The Scenes of some very raw Rick Ross footage. The content is 20 minutes in length and contains exclusive footage of superstar rapper Rick Ross.

“The content is ’raw’, I admit, but my decision to run the content without an MPAA rating stands firm.” Dale Scott Marion - President of Xelleon said today. “If fans of Rick Ross, don’t already know that the footage will be full of scenes that are inappropriate for minors then I don’t think they can be called fans.”

Simpozia.com, owned and operated by Xelleon PLC, is scheduled to launch July 21st. With a hand-full of artists and exclusive content from each and every one of them.

“The only reason we can even offer this exclusive content is because we can assure the artists of full piracy protection on the distributed media, unlike other forms of distribution, which are easily copied and shared illegally, Simpozia offers completely legal sharing to users, and gives the consumer more for their money when they purchase truly protected content.” Marion says.

The content featuring Rick Ross, is scheduled to be available upon launch. When asked why Simpozia refused to limit sales to only adults, Marion replied, “Limiting the sale of content, no matter how offensive it may seem to an adult, limits our rights and freedoms as individuals. Aside from this, if a person is mature enough to own a credit card to purchase the content, then they should be mature enough to watch it.”

Xelleon’s Legal team also stated that Simpozia will have a Parental Advisory posted on the content, but in no way will it be limiting sales of the content to adults only.
