Yachtmaster Courses Now Available With Nomad Sailing

November 18th, 2011 – London, UK – Nomad Sailing (http://www.nomadsailing.co.uk/) are excited about using their new boat on the new Yachmaster courses that they are now providing. Having courses for the more experienced sailor is important as beginners often want to progress up the rankings and reach the top qualifications. Yachmaster qualifications are awarded to top class sailors who have accumulated lots of sailing experience and skills.

Nomad Sailing do not actually provide the assessment for the Yachtmaster courses but do provide the preparation needed for it. This is a course you should only consider doing if you already have years of sailing experience and feel you are ready for the exam. The Yachtmaster prep course will not teach you everything you need to know but will run through the topics to make sure you are ready and up to speed with everything.

Experienced sailors often like to know what boat they will be sailing on and Nomad Sailing’s new boat will please a lot of potential Yachtmaster students. The new boat is called Nomad 1 and is a Jeanneu Sunfast 37, designed for comfort and speed in the water.  This type of boat has won many awards including ‘Boat of the Year’ in the US. The Sunfast 37 is very popular with boat hire companies. Jim Barden, Co-Director of Nomad Sailing says “It’s a fantastic boat for the yachmaster because experienced sailors will enjoy the high speeds and the strong rigging.” The Yachtmaster courses will open up Nomad Sailing to a different group of people, i.e. more experienced sailors.

The off season has allowed for the necessary finalisations of the Yachmaster course, Competent Crew course and the new boat as well. This boat will allow the sailors to test their skills to the limit and practice all the manoeuvres needed for the Yachtmaster practical while gaining the experience and confidence needed to pass it.
