Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has announced strong sales in the Middle East region at the Dubai International Motor Show today. The company has seen sales growth of almost 30 per cent year to date compared to 2010, with double digit growth also being recorded in all regions around the world.

Speaking at the show, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said, “The Gulf is an important market for Rolls-Royce, with robust sales being seen across all models. The region continues to hold the number one position in the world for Rolls-Royce Bespoke revenue per car, reflecting the highly sophisticated customers that Rolls-Royce attracts.”

The Dubai International Motor Show provided a fitting platform for the unveiling of a portfolio of exceptional Rolls-Royce models.

Thoroughbred Phantom Coupé is a magnificent homage to the sport of kings - horseracing. The unique marquetry in this car represents the 35 winning colours of the jockey silks during the recent Glorious Goodwood week of horseracing which takes place on Lord March’s world famous West Sussex estate, where the Home of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is likewise situated. With a warm colour palette, subtle hand-stitching and other bespoke features, the model is expected to enjoy particular resonance with the horseracing culture in the Middle East.

The Riviera Phantom Drophead Coupé is inspired by the elegant world of yachting and references the clean lines of classic racing yachts, a palette of refreshing marine colours and a selection of the finest bespoke tailoring.

A diamond-enrobed Spirit of Ecstasy, valued at $250,000 was also unveiled during the opening day of the show. Created by Mouawad Jewellers, the model celebrates the centenary year of the Flying Lady which has gracefully adorned the prow of Rolls-Royce cars past and present.

“The news from Rolls-Royce is very positive with sustainable growth being achieved across all markets, in established countries and emerging markets. Our customers recognise the uncompromising craftsmanship, design and attention to detail that goes into the production of every single Rolls-Royce. It is this unique luxury offering that will ensure our long term success for many more decades to come,” concluded Müller-Ötvös.
