June 6, 2006

Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERICY) announced today an agreement to integrate, host, and manage a mobile content service for Centennial Wireless. The service is based on a next-generation portal that includes an advanced recommendation engine, an improved user interface, and promotion features to help Centennial increase content sales across its entire subscriber base.

Under the terms of the deal, Centennial will be upgrading its existing customer offering with Ericsson’s managed mobile content service, significantly broadening its product suite with a variety of mobile content and applications. Ericsson will also supply editorial content management for this service and license content, such as MasterTones, ringtones, wallpapers, games, and alerts. Centennial Wireless launched its enhanced mobile content service in late May 2006.

Laura McCallum, Centennial’s Vice President of marketing, says: “We offer a wide selection of service plans and features that allow our customers to build a solution that fits their needs. Ericsson’s managed content service supports our vision of tailoring the ultimate customer experience by letting customers personalize their phones even more.”

Angel Ruiz, President of Ericsson North America, says: “Wireless technology has a huge influence on the mainstream population. As a result, consumers are as significant in the telecom market as they have traditionally been in the consumer packaged and retail markets. Operators are realizing that the consumer experience is a principal driver and one of the most important factors in determining the success of mobile content services.”

Hosting, a quick, simple, and cost-efficient way for operators to launch services, is part of Ericsson’s industry-leading managed services offering. Ericsson offers the operators mobile services, including world-class content such as music, TV and video, multiplayer gaming, and multimedia downloads.

Ericsson is shaping the future of Mobile and Broadband Internet communications through its continuous technology leadership. Providing innovative solutions in more than 140 countries, Ericsson is helping to create the most powerful communication companies in the world.
