Congratulations to the top three traders in last month’s official September contest at HowTheMarketWorks.com. The contest ran from September First through the 30th. Each trader started with $25,000 virtual trading cash. The trader that earns the most by the end of the month wins.
 
Trader Kyle L ended the month with a 76.5% gain. Just ahead of him was Trader Yogesh in second place, who increased his trading cash by 265.4%. The trader to finish in the top spot was Trader Bill, who increased his portfolio by an impressive 537.5%!
 
So, which stocks did these traders focus on? Trader Kyle L employed an interesting strategy last month. He traded 200 shares of Netflix, Inc (NFLX), earning $41,757.00 in commission and $13.89 in interest by the end of the month. That alone was enough to land him in the number three spot.
 
Meanwhile, Trader Yogesh used a different strategy, making over two hundred trades in the last month alone. Companies he traded included Osiris Therapeutics, Inc. (OSIR), Suntech Power Holdings Co.
