As with our commitment to the Whole Kids Foundation, which aims to improve children’s nutrition, we believe that every child deserves to be nourished so they can reach their full potential.”

“One in five children in America struggle with hunger, but Share Our Strength believes that childhood hunger is a solvable problem,,”said Billy Shore, chairman and CEO of Share Our Strength. “A big component of the solution is educating families about nutritious, healthy foods and encouraging them to make healthy choices when planning meals and cooking at home. Whole Foods Market shares in this commitment to nutrition education, and together, we will help ensure families in communities nationwide have access to the food and education their children need to grow and thrive.”

Since 2001, Whole Foods Market has helped raise more than $900,000 for Share Our Strength through fundraising, food donations, Team Member volunteer efforts and providing ways for shoppers to give. For more information visit www.wholefoodsmarket.com/holidays.
