Pinnacle KBB Looks to Dynamic Space Kitchen Solutions During the Housing Recovery
many families who would otherwise have enjoyed larger living spaces in new homes, have been forced to ‘make do’ and cope with the space that they have available. Pinnacle KBB is on hand to help.
Amidst the recession, many potential house buyers were left stranded, paralyzed by a lack of lending on behalf of the banks. As a result, many families who would otherwise have enjoyed larger living spaces in new homes, have been forced to ‘make do’ and cope with the space that they have available, or move into less spacious accommodation. For those with growing families, space is critical, and where extensions and conversions are out of the question, the only remaining option is to make more efficient use of the space available.
“Dynamic Space is basically about making the most of the space available rather than being obsessed with wall to wall furniture. Turning kitchen islands into multipurpose storage solutions that also provide dining space is one such move, but from a kitchen planning perspective, we make lots of changes like this to maximize the available space and reduce clutter” states Stuart Heyes, Managing Director of Pinnacle KBB
Making such design improvements have particular benefits for a home’s resale value. When the housing market recovers, those homes that appear to have greater space than those in the neighboring area are more likely to gain greater interest and be easier to sell, making the upgrade to a bigger home that much quicker and easier.
“The Dynamic Space concept is about taking how a normal kitchen functions and providing the storage necessary to reduce wasted space, so where the storage under the sink is usually used for waste and cleaning products, the addition of proper compartments for these items saves masses of space which can be used for other purposes, the same is true of the space around the sink basin, many kitchens block this off with a non-functioning drawer face plate, yet there’s space enough in there for a partial drawer to hold various utensils ” adds Mr Heyes.
In an economy that is still in recovery, threatened by the looming possibility of another crash amidst international bailouts in the EU, the possibility of upsizing still remains slim and so Pinnacle KBB has turned the situation to their advantage, essentially planning and fitting stylish, modern and space saving fitted kitchens.
Mr Heyes also adds that: “Lately our German Kitchens have garnered significant interest, which may well be to do with design trends that favour two tone kitchens, a predominantly German design feature, although this is now being picked up by many manufacturers. By combining two tone German style with these space saving solutions, we expect to see a comfortable influx of sales over the coming months whilst other kitchen fitters and planners may struggle”
