Alexandria, VA, Issued October 25, 2011…The Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO), a global network of entrepreneurs with more than 8000 members in 40 countries, has the distinction of having 216 of its entrepreneur members included on the coveted INC. 5000 list, which highlights companies at the forefront of innovation and economic growth.

Individual members of The Entrepreneur’s Organization (www.eonetwork.org) included in the list hail from all over the United States; many of those “on the list” were present at the INC. conference held earlier this fall at the Gaylord Convention Center in National Harbor, MD.

The Inc. 500|5000 ranks companies by overall revenue growth over a three-year period. For detailed information on the Inc. 5000, visit www.inc.com/inc5000/list .

The success of this year’s group of entrepreneurs, including the 216 business members of EO, was not lost on INC. President Bob LaPointe, who characterized the group as economic heroes. “They are a hardy group of entrepreneurs who have figured out how to grow their businesses despite economic stagnation. More importantly, these entrepreneurs continue to create jobs.”

EO Global Chairman Kevin Langley praised the EO entrepreneurs who qualified for the list, noting that a key role of this entrepreneurial organization is to foster entrepreneurship through programs tailored to entrepreneurs. “For 24 years, the Entrepreneur’s Organization has been the place for leading entrepreneurs to learn and grow, fueling their ability to be catalysts for job creation,” he noted.

Local EO Chapter Presidents also had praise for not only the businesses in their individual chapters who made the list, but for the entire group of entrepreneurs who came under INC.’s notice. Coming off several years off negative economic news, the new list, and the numerous new businesses which met the criteria, was seen as good economic news.

Langley continued, “We are proud of all of those businesses who earned a place on the INC. list, and of course especially our own EO members. Anyone who has ever built a business understands the intense challenges that go into becoming successful. We believe that EO is positioned well to help businesses achieve this success through a number of entrepreneurial activities, and we thank INC. for its continued commitment to entrepreneurship.

The Entrepreneurs’ Organization dedicates significant resources to helping businesses develop the tools and skills to succeed as entrepreneurs, and is seen, here in the United States and around the world, as a strong advocate for the business owner.
