Agility CMS Manages COC Radio Streamed Off Canadian Opera Company Website

Toronto, ON — October 24, 2011— New online audio-video services have been added to the Agility-managed Canadian Opera Company (COC) website, coc.ca.  Users of the site are now able to enjoy a variety of COC audio and digital features available in playlists and on demand, all in one place.
Visitors to coc.ca can listen to recordings of company productions by the COC’s broadcast partner CBC Radio 2; enjoy interviews with singers and members of a production’s creative team; listen to podcast of COC-hosted talks, from pre-performance opera chats to Opera 101; and go through listening guides on an opera and watch specially-created production videos through Brightcove integration. “Agility manages the organization of playlist and on demand content”, said Anthony Valela, Project Coordinator at Agility. “Users can customize their listening and viewing experience, and sort content by date or alphabetically.”
The creation of COC Radio is the first step in coc.ca becoming a larger online resource for opera in Canada. “By implementing more Agility CMS features we’re aiming to go beyond exclusive COC content and start joining other online sources in nurturing and cultivating knowledge of opera in Canada,” says COC Director of Marketing Jeremy Elbourne. “Agility CMS has allowed the company to organize its digital media content in one easy to find section, creating tremendous visual appeal as well as improving the overall content efficiency of coc.ca.”
