WEBWIRE

New York, NY, October 15, 2011 – Special Materials Company (SMC) is increasing effective immediately or as contracts allow, pricing for PCBTF (parachlorobenzotrifluoride) by 10% covering all grades and packages.

This action is necessary to respond to raw material market conditions and currency exchange challenges. Environmental issues have caused production challenges for key raw materials along with unexpected strong demand for PCBTF for the agricultural market.

According to SMC’s Compliance Solutions Product Manager, Diane Tramontana, “SMC remains committed to supplying high quality PCBTF and maintaining sufficient US based inventory to supply the market demand.”
