AT&T Secures New Contract with Ysleta Independent School District

El Paso School District Gets Connected with New Data Networking Solution

El Paso, Texas, May 25, 2006, AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced a new contract to provide data networking services to the Ysleta Independent School District (ISD), the second-largest public school district serving El Paso, Texas.

Under the terms of the five-year contract, AT&T will deliver a Customized Switched Metro Ethernet (CSME) solution that will connect a total of 62 locations, including seven high schools, 11 middle schools, 36 elementary schools, five special campuses and two pre-kindergarten schools.

This service will link the schools to a single, reliable network and will provide the district with the simplicity of managing the network from the district office. The service will also provide a scalability advantage to meet the demands of the separate sites.

The CSME network will expand the district’s bandwidth to support new educational and administrative programs, and it will provide additional room for future growth. This solution also aligns with AT&T’s convergence strategy to enable Ysleta ISD to deploy its voice, data, video, and Internet through the converged network infrastructure with increased security and reliability. In addition, AT&T will serve as the district’s primary service provider of voice and data services.
