Popular song and jazz music vocalist Jerry Costanzo and his trio (http://www.jerrycostanzo.com) with special guest jazz music guitar great Gene Bertoncini, will be performing live at Feinstein’s At Loew’s Regency (FeinsteinsAtTheRegency.com, 540 Park Avenue at 61st Street, New York City, 212-339-4095) on Wednesday September 21, at 10:30 PM. This is the premier performance in a seven-month long series that Mr. Costanzo will lead at Feinstein’s, and which will feature a list of top tier jazz soloists including guitarist Joe Cohn, vibraphonist Mark Sherman, saxophonist Andy Farber & His 8-piece Swing Mavens, tenor saxophonist Jerry Weldon, saxophonist/clarinetist, Dan Block and others. Costanzo will be accompanied by Tedd Firth; piano, Jennifer Vincent; bass, Jimmy Madison, drums. Guitar great Gene Bertoncini (http://www.GeneBertoncini.com) will join Mr. Costanzo for this premier performance in the series. Bertoncini, a native New Yorker, has amassed a long and impressive list of activities and accolades. He has performed with Carmen McRae, Benny Goodman, Wayne Shorter, Hubert Laws, Paul Desmond, Tony Bennett, Lena Horne, Nancy Wilson, Vic Damone, Eydie Gorme and others. In addition, Bertoncini’s studio work includes having served as member of staff orchestras on the Merv Griffin Show, Jack Paar, and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. He has also been on the faculties of Eastman School of Music, the New England Conservatory, New York University and others.
