DirectRooms.com – Chester literature festival welcomes inspiring authors between 14 and 30 October 2011
DirectRooms reveals that award winning celebrities will form part of the Essar Oil Chester Literature Festival 2011 this October which sees personalities from a range of subjects and specialities coming to talk at the event.
Leading names such as TV journalist Peter Snow, chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and advertising guru Sir John Hegarty will all be attending the festival. Peter will be promoting his new book which examines why the Duke of Wellington was so successful in battle while Hugh will be explaining all about how to cook better vegetables.
Although a name not recognised by many, Sir John Hegarty’s advertising campaigns will definitely be remembered by most people. He has been responsible for influential advertisements such as Audi’s ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ and ads for Levi’s that have earned him a knighthood for his contributions to advertising. He’ll be providing an insight into how he’s achieved success for clients through the effective use of words.
Another highlight of the festival is Ed Stafford reliving his incredible journey as he became the first man to walk all the way along the Amazon River. He’ll be describing his ordeal which lasted for over two years and 4,000 miles as he had to survive on piranha broth and pure determination to finish this amazing feat.
The festival will be filled with other readings, poetry and writing workshops and book fans staying at a Chester City Centre hotel can catch all the events which are being held between 14th and 30th October.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms commented: “Hotel rooms are set to be limited as people attend the festival so booking early is recommended.”
