CSA International Qualifies Powersmiths Testing Facility’s Energy Verification Procedures Based on ISO 17025:2005

October 3, 2011, Brampton, Ontario - Powersmiths announces that it has been qualified by Canadian Standards Association International (CSA) as a Testing Facility for CSA’s Energy Efficiency Verification Program for dry-type transformers. This certification provides assurance that Powersmiths CAN/CSA-802.2-06 and NEMA TP-2 2005 test procedures conform to the rigorous ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard.

CSA’s qualification of our testing procedures allows us to provide a “Certified Test Certificate”, for each transformer; noted Des Faria, Powersmiths’ Director of Research and Development. “At a time when buyers may be justifiably skeptical of the efficiency claims of some products, Powersmiths can provide certified verification that Powersmiths transformers meet their published high-performance specifications.”
