Kroger’s Convenience Store Division to Purchase Memphis Stores From Schnucks; Will Operate as Kwik Shop

HUTCHINSON, KS, – Tom Thumb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Kroger Co. (NYSE:KR), today announced its purchase of seven convenience stores in the Memphis area currently operated by Schnuck Markets, Inc.

The convenience stores will be operated by Kroger’s Tom Thumb division under the banner name Kwik Shop.

The convenience stores being acquired are located as follows: 6740 Stage Rd. Bartlett, TN; 1210 Germantown Park, Cordova, TN; 9423 Poplar Ave., Germantown, TN; 3950 Goodman Rd., Horn Lake, MS; 945A Goodman Rd. E, Southaven, MS; 9023 US Hwy. 64, Lakeland, TN; and 751 Truse Pkwy., Memphis, TN.
