Good News for the Funeral Industry

WEBWIRE

Aardbalm as the only non-toxic alternative to formaldehyde in the embalming industry has received information from Germany which indicates that all formaldehyde notifications and registrations under the EU Biocides Directive have been withdrawn. This will mean that use of formaldehyde must end in September 2006.

This is good news for embalmers suffering from the effects of formaldehyde fumes and the environment which has long suffered the leaching of such toxins into the soil and water table.

Aardbalm products have been adopted by both the independent sector and the largest Funeral Services Company in the UK. Aardbalm is currently negotiating to increase sales into France, Australia and the US.

Spokesman for Aardbalm, Mr Rupert Street:

“I am obviously happy that we now have clarification on the possible end date of formaldehyde. More importantly I am pleased with the improvement in results gained through using Aardbalm products as well as the obvious health benefits for the emabalmers.”
