MONTREAL, QC – August 25, 2011Total Diving - Montreal Scuba announces the launch of a new Learn To Scuba Dive program at the brand new Côte Saint-Luc Aquatic and Community Center.
               
After breaking ground on the future site of the Aquatic and Community Centre in early October 2010, the City of Côte Saint-Luc has completed construction of the facility and is welcoming the public to an open house on Sunday, August 28, 2011.

During the Open House, scuba diving instructors from Total Diving will be on site to answer questions about scuba diving and the “learn to scuba dive” courses that will be offered starting this coming Fall in Côte Saint-Luc.

“We are proud to have been asked to teach the Côte Saint-Luc scuba diving program. It’s a first class organization in a top quality brand new pool”, declared Darcy Kieran, PADI Course Director and President, Total Diving.

The Côte Saint-Luc Aquatic and Community Center Open House is from 1pm until 3:30pm at 5794 Parkhaven Ave, corner of Mackle Road, in Côte Saint-Luc. It’s not far from Total Diving’s main scuba diving training center in NDG.

Total Diving is a PADI Career Development Center, the highest rating level for a scuba diving training center in the world.

The Montreal-based dive shop has been providing equipment and services to scuba diving, snorkeling, freediving and water sport enthusiasts since 1975 from its dive shop location in NDG in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Founded by Bill Waddell, the scuba diving center is now operated by Darcy Kieran, an industrial engineer specialized in new product development and commercialization.

Darcy Kieran has been training recreational scuba diving instructors in Montreal since 2000. He is a scuba instructor trainer for TecRec technical diving courses involving the use of mixed gases like helium and enriched air (nitrox), as well as an EFR and DAN Examiner to train first aid instructor trainers. He is an Industrial Engineer graduate from the Ecole Polytechnique of the University of Montreal, and holds an MBA from McGill University in Montreal.

PADI is a worldwide scuba dive training organization based in California, with offices in Port Coquitlam, BC, Canada.
