New York, NY -- The AOL Huffington Post Media Group, a leading source of news, opinion, entertainment, community and digital information, today announces the relaunch of Stylelist (http://www.stylelist.com), a site offering fashion and beauty news, trends and opinion, and an engaged community that is passionate about style and fashion. Stylelist encourages women and men to develop their individual sense of style, with advice, how-tos, inspiring profiles, blog posts, and the latest news from the runway to the street. Priya Rao, most recently a reporter for The Wall Street Journal, has been named Style Editor. Anya Strzemien, who launched HuffPost Style four years ago, returns to the company to oversee HuffPost Style, Stylelist, and the soon to-be-launched Stylelist Home, as Editor-in-Chief. Arianna Huffington, President and Editor-in-Chief of AOL Huffington Post Media Group, made the announcement.

“We’re delighted to relaunch Stylelist,” said Arianna Huffington. “The site has a new look, and a new focus on encouraging people to develop their own sense of style – so that they can become their own stylists. And because people love to express their opinions about fashion, we’re excited to bring theHuffPost commenting platform to Stylelist’s engaged community members, allowing them to connect with each other and have their voices heard – weighing in on all things style, from who wore what to the Oscars to whether the latest trend is here to stay or will be gone tomorrow.”

The revamped site features a new design and logo, and is built on The Huffington Post’s technology, blogging and commenting platform. Stylelist spotlights the latest trends, accessories, and style news from around the globe; runway and street looks; before and afters; celebrity photos; shopping guides; and blog posts from fashion experts and tastemakers. Bloggers will include Rachel Roy, Heidi Klum, Desiree Gruber, and Brandon Holley.

Stylelistwill help individuals find looks that work for them, with service features such as: “In the Market For,” which highlights trends; blog posts by Rachel Zoe featuring her “I Die For” list of must-have items; “Closet Case,” a discussion with tastemakers about what they like and don’t like about what’s in their wardrobes; and tutorials and makeovers from makeup artist Eve Pearl.

The site also has ongoing series that spotlight style and the fashion industry from all angles, including: “Intern Diaries,” a behind-the-scenes look at 7th Avenue; “Fashematics,” a weekly series that uses math-like equations to shed light on new looks; “Uptown/Downtown Beauty,” a photo comparison of a celebrity’s casual and formal looks; and “Fashion Dictionary,” a lighthearted guide to explaining emerging terms and fashion hybrids like the “plandal” – a combination sandal and platform shoe.

“Connect the Dots” features free association based on runway looks; and “Step Into My Office” visits the offices of prominent tastemakers. In addition, Stylelist’s “Behind the Scenes: The Making of a Fall Fashion Issue” is an insider video look at how top editors from various magazines pulled together their all-important September issues.

Said Anya Strzemien: “We’ll have fun covering fashion, while not losing sight of the fact that our users also want advice that’s useful and inspiring. Our coverage will run the gamut, and we’ll be starting conversations about style that will be spirited, incisive and entertaining.”

Said Priya Rao: “We’re excited to spotlight style wherever we find it, whether it’s a celebrity who’s showing surprising confidence while wearing a bold look, or a person on the street who’s mixing up high and low fashion in an unexpected way.”

In addition to Ms. Rao, Simone Kitchens, who was most recently Associate Beauty Editor at Lucky Magazine, joins Stylelist as Senior Beauty Editor; and Jenny Kang, previously Fashion Market Editor for Lucky Magazine, is the site’s Senior Style Editor.

Stylelistalso launches a partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue as the exclusive media partner of Saks’ Fashion’s Night Out. Starting today the site will host a three week contest leading up to Fashion’s Night Out in which designers Tory Burch, Christian Cota and Yigal Azrouel will challenge users to style a look for a chance to win a $2,000 Saks gift card. One reader will also win a $10,000 shopping spree with the retailer.
