NEW YORK, August 15 -- The Original and Official Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards Induction Ceremony and Concert is set to return to National and International Television, filming in New York City during ‘Hip Hop History Month’ in November 2011.

The Hip Hop Hall of Fame signed an agreement with TV-One Cable Network to televise the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards Show in early December 2011. TV-One is a major part of the Radio One, Inc. Media Empire, founded by the legendary Cathy Hughes, and is also in a partnership with the Comcast-NBC Broadcasting Company. ‘TV-One has demonstrated by actions their commitment to Diversity and Minority Producers and Programming’, says Creator and Executive Producer JT Thompson.

The Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards Show will also feature a ‘Week of Activities’ throughout New York City.  They will include Celebrity Community Outreach, a Hip Hop Symposium, Gospel Night, VIP Reception, Pre-Post Event Parties, and other Programs featuring Celebrities, Industry Executives, and New York City Political, Corporate, and Community Leaders. This has been in the works for a while, and will be around for many generations to come,’ says Easy AD Harris, a Hip Hop Hall of Fame Executive, and Iconic member of the legendary Cold Crush Brothers.

The ‘Hip Hop-A-Thon’ National Promotional and Fundraising campaign will kick-off with the announcing of the 2011 Hall of Fame Inductee Class, to be followed by a series of Print, Radio, Press, and Promotional activities over 90 days culminating with the unveiling of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Museum & Entertainment Complex Building Project in New York City.  Tickets will go on sale in September 2011.

The producers and creative team are currently working on agreements with Celebrity Talent and Corporate Partnerships for the show. The initial response has been excitement, and we will be making continuous announcements over the next few weeks and months regarding the Celebrity Hosts, Performers, Presenters, Industry, Promotional, and Corporate Partnerships.

‘We are very excited to be returning to National Television, as Hip Hop has continues to expand from the urban streets to general ‘pop’ market commercialization. It has re-emerged as a major youth ‘marketing and economic’ driving force spending and influencing over $350 Billion+ in sales across all product merchandise and service categories.  This event will help re-establish the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Brand in the marketplace for decades to come, stated the Brooklyn Born, Hollis, Harlem and Los Angeles raised show Creator and Executive Producer JT Thompson, who recently graduated from the UConn EBV Veterans Entrepreneur Program.

The Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards show brand was created in 1992 to be the financial mechanism to build the Museum. This will be the first broadcast of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards since it aired in National Syndication and on the BET Cable Network in the 1990’s. That show featured the Induction of Run DMC with Jam Master Jay an original Board Member, the God-father of Hip Hop Kool Herc, the Zulu Nation, Kool DJ Red Alert, and Grandmaster Flash to name a few. These classic video clips will be premiering bi-weekly at http://hiphophof.tv   during the promo campaign!
