As part of its continuing programme of transparency, today the BBC has published the business-related expenses of the 109 most senior decision-makers in the Corporation for the period January to March 2011 (Quarter 4, 2010/11).

The group of the Corporation’s most senior managers includes all those who earn more than £150,000 per annum and those who have permanent seats on Divisional Boards. The BBC has also published the Gifts & Hospitality Register for these senior managers for the same period together with their Declarations of Personal Interest.

The latest figures published today show the total amount of expenses claimed by the BBC’s leading senior managers is down 15% on the previous financial year. New figures also show that since August 2009, the BBC senior manager paybill has been cut by £17.6m (22.4%) and the number of senior managers by 117 (18.3%). The BBC has committed to reducing its senior manager paybill by 25% and headcount by 20% by December 2011.

The information is published on the About the BBC section of the BBC website, which will include specific information on each of these senior managers in terms of leadership, financial and decision-making responsibility.

Updated information on senior manager headcount and pay bill is also on the website.
