Roland Comtois to Host Fifth Annual After Loss Event

WEBWIRE

STAMFORD, CT – (August 1, 2011) If there is one emotion that ties us all together, and at that same time makes us feel alone, frightened and vulnerable, it is grief. Grief is devastating, overwhelming and unsettling, often manifesting as a mélange of feelings that have the power to overwhelm us with sadness and despair, even anger. For all of us, it is a normal and natural, often painful, response to loss, one that each of us expresses and experiences differently. And while grief in itself is a process that takes time for the healing to begin, there are many supportive resources available to help us cope with the devastating effects of loss and to move forward with hope and compassion.

Roland Comtois, author of And Then There Was Heaven: A Journey of Hope and Love, and a best-selling inspirational speaker, has spent his lifetime helping others with their grief, through Reiki healings, spiritual presentations and counseling sessions. Now he is bringing together area traditional and holistic practitioners and after-loss resources in a one-day FREE After-Loss Expo Event at the Stamford Plaza Hotel at 2701 Summer Street in Stamford, Connecticut on September 10, 2011 from 10:30 am to 5 pm.
“Taking care of yourself is essential to your health and well-being,” said Roland, who explains that it is especially important for grieving souls. “This Expo will give people the tools and support they need to move through their grief, release their pain and reclaim their lives after suffering a loss. We are honored that so many noted experts and practitioners are volunteering their time and services to those who need it most during this Expo. We hope to help hundreds of people on September 10, who in turn can pass it forward and help hundreds and hundreds more.”

The event, now in its fifth year, is being sponsored by Al’s Angels Children’s Charity based in Westport, Connecticut; Stamford, Connecticut-based Promindful, Inc., dedicated to promoting mindfulness, holistic health and wellness by providing grants, scholarships, and other support to organizations and instructors who provide and teach mindfulness and integrative health; Global Peace Movement, founded by Greenwich resident Theresa Joseph to promote guided meditation for world peace, and Inner Tapestry, a leading publication resource and voice for holistic health and natural living in New England, owned by partners Joan Emmons and Ron Damico.

The event will begin at 10:30 with a welcome by Roland Comtois and a harmonics opening ceremony conducted by Joan Emmons and Ron Damico of Ron and Joan, LLP. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear Roland speak and deliver channeled messages at two free keynote presentations at 11 AM and 3:30 PM, experience firsthand the healing benefits of Reiki from volunteer practitioners, meet therapists trained in grief and healthy relationships, and learn about the role of harmonics, labyrinths and energy work in the healing process, along with various other tools and resources available today.

Guest speakers for the day’s events include Al DiGuido, founder of Al’s Angels who will speak on the Healing Power of Giving; Dave Kane, a Rhode Island radio personality and author of 41 Signs of Hope, Southport family and marriage therapist and radio talk show host Trevor Crow, LMFT; Greg Coleman, Master Labyrinth Designer, teacher and Reiki Master; grief and wellness specialist, author, teacher and motivational speaker Sharon Welch from Natural Soulutions in Maryland; Ginny Mackles, RMT, LMHC, a Reiki Master Teacher and licensed professional counselor from Westchester, New York; psychotherapist and energy healer Sara Rubin from Katonah, New York; Connecticut holistic nutritionist Barbara Slaine, Director of The Liphe Balance Center; Sherry Russenberger, Life Coach and Palliative Care professional from Middlesex Hospital, Saundra Blum, past Life Regression Therapist and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy Professional from New York; Fairfield psychic medium Erin Chiapetta and Fairfield County intuitive healers Theresa Joseph, founder of the Global Peace Movement, and Linda Fallo-Mitchell, Ph.D., a Reiki Master and teacher.
