AFA expands blended learning offering

WEBWIRE

AFA is delighted to announce that following the launch on 22 November 2010 of the online Atrium, more information has been added, and it is now available for a wider range of management methods. The Atrium is a secure online document repository, for use by all delegates on AFA’s PRINCE2, MSP, M_o_R, MoP and P3O accredited training courses. The AFA Atrium provides a range of value-added resources and reference documents for use by delegates before, during & after classroom training.

“Increasingly delegates tell us that they want more pre-course work; more supporting documents throughout their course and more information about applying their knowledge after the course. These factors have helped to amalgamate the list of resources that are currently available.” Said AFA’s Training Manager, Stuart Flatt. “This additional training material will help the overall consolidation of delegates’ learning outcomes by reinforcing the classroom based training.”

The documents provided in the Atrium have been developed side-by-side with AFA’s delegate courseware, some of which is now in its 10th iteration. Delegate input over the years ensures that the information on the Atrium is value-added and not just a repetition of pages from the official OGC publications.

The system is very simple to operate. Delegates are sent a link, username and password with their joining instructions; this will give them approximately six months access to the AFA Atrium. Access will be given to the Atrium area that is suitable for the specific course that the delegate has booked.

Whilst AFA hope that their Atrium is useful to delegates, it is not essential to access it. A full set of training material will be provided to each delegate on the first morning of their course.
