DoubleTree by Hilton Tinton Falls celebrates Christmas in July by giving back to Monmouth County community

TINTON FALLS, NJ July 22, 2011- www.tintonfallseatontown.doubletree.com DoubleTree Hotel Tinton Falls - Eatontown announced today that it is extending its collection of canned goods and toiletries until August 12 for Lunch Break, a local non-profit soup kitchen and food bank that serves the Monmouth County New Jersey area.

“We donated time and helped them serve lunch to the less privileged, as well as on occasion donated our meeting space for their gatherings,” says Cathy Coanda, Director of Sales at DoubleTree Hotel Tinton Falls. “With all the success of collecting these items, we wanted to extend our offer to August so that we can continue to develop our relationship with the community. We are proud to be a part of the community and giving back is one of the best ways of getting involved.”

Lunch Break has been serving the Red Bank NJ community for over 30 years. They serve over 38,000 meals in their soup kitchen annually. Monthly, they provide clothes to over 350 families and groceries to over 300 families in need.

Along with these local community partners, the MITRE Corporation provided support to help make event possible.

All donors and community members are encouraged to bring boxes of canned goods and toiletries to the DoubleTree Hotel Tinton Falls lobby and receive free cookies and milk, in honor of the spirit of giving.
