Majestic White Stallions Make History On East Coast Tour

July 24th, 2011 – (In South Carolina June 24th, 2011) The reunion of Gabriella Herrmann with the Royal Lipizzan Stallions of Austria and General George S. Patton’s grandson, Pat Waters, marks another historic moment for these two families and the Royal Lipizzaner Stallions of Austria. Pat Waters grandfather General George S. Patton along with the help of Gabriella Herrmanns father and grandfather, Col. Ottomar Hermann and the Third Army helped save the Royal Lipizzaner Stallions of Austria during World War Two. General George S. Patton’s grandson thanked Ms. Gabriella Herrmann for keeping the Lipizzaner breed and giving so much to the citizens and charities.

The Herrmann family is no stranger to east coast royalty. The Herrmann family and the Famous White Stallions have Jacqueline Kennedy to thank for helping to make the United States their permanent home.

“Right after World War Two, the Herrmann’s Royal Lipizzaner Stallions of Austria were performing on an island. Ms. Kennedy (an avid horse person herself) came up after our performance and started a conversation with my father Col. Ottomar Herrmann and myself. She stated how we would be welcome to live in the USA with all its freedoms. So we moved the horses and our family to the United States of America and proudly became citizens of this great country" Sir Ottomar Herrmann said.
