Fujifilm Honored With Twenty I3A Safety Excellence Awards

I3A Grants Three of the Four “Best in Class” Awards to Fujifilm

Valhalla, N.Y., July 20, 2011 — FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation today announced that its facilities throughout North America were recognized with a total of twenty awards by the International Imaging Industry Association (I3A) for demonstrating the highest levels of safety performance and leadership. The not-for-profit I3A represents nearly all leading and emerging imaging companies, and is the largest imaging industry group worldwide. Fujifilm won seventeen (17) Safety Excellence Awards; plus three of the four “Best in Class” Awards for the safety performance at its Mississauga, Ontario; Portland, Oregon; and Valhalla, New York facilities.

The “Best in Class” awards recognize the companies with the safest workplaces, as determined by injury and illness case rates for the year, in four different areas: manufacturing, warehousing, R&D/administrative, and photo finishing. The company in each category that meets all the I3A Safety Excellence Awards Program criteria and has the lowest OSHA Recordable Incidence (ORI) with the most hours worked during the calendar year is recognized as being best in its class among I3A member companies. This year, Fujifilm’s Warehouse in Ontario, Canada, Photo Services facility in Portland, Oregon, and R&D/Administrative facility in Valhalla, New York were acknowledged with three of the four “Best in Class” awards.
