Start the family holiday with some sunshine – book an airport hotel and lounge

With the school holidays underway, now’s the perfect time to head off with the family for some early summer sunshine. And HolidayExtras.com has some great deals on airport hotels, airport parking and airport lounges to get the break off to a stress-free start.

Prices for a family room at the four-star Ramada Glasgow airport, including holiday parking, start from £110 - without parking, the price drops to an incredible £55. The hotel is less than a mile from the terminal, and children get free movies when they share a room with their parents.

At Edinburgh airport, the four-star Marriott hotel has rooms with up to 15 days’ parking for just £125. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, as well as two restaurants and a cafe. It’s five minutes from the airport, and the hotel will pay for a taxi there and back.

Instead of struggling to keep the kids occupied in the terminal, book the family into an airport lounge and enjoy up to three hours of free entertainment. The Sky Lounge at Glasgow airport is open to children of any age and has its own kids’ zone with toys, video games and DVDs, while the Servisair lounge at Edinburgh is open to children 12 and over. Both lounges have TV, wifi access and free newspapers and magazines, and guests can also help themselves to unlimited free snacks and drinks.

Prices start from £17.50 per adult and £7 per child under 14 in the Sky Lounge. There is no charge for children under two. Prices start from £15 per person in the Servisair lounge.
