New Program Helps Homeowners in Western Washington

On July 12th, 2011, Credit Advisors Foundation (www.creditadvisors.org) and Homes on the Sound (www.homesonthesound.com) will be holding a Home Loan Modification Workshop. Loan Modification is the modification of a current loan. The modification is usually done by the lender, responding to an assessment that a loan borrower has a long-term inability to repay an existing loan. Loan modifications are a reduction in the loan interest rate, time extensions of the loan term, exchange of the loan type from one to another or a combination of these items. In these economic times, lenders have discovered that the cost of modification for a borrower is less for the lending institution than if the borrower is forced into default.

This workshop will feature the Credit Advisors Foundation (A Non-Profit Company, approved by HUD). The Credit Advisors Foundation provides services meant to relieve the stress caused by creditors and bill collectors, helping clients to regain control of their finances. Their Counselors are highly trained client advocates who are certified personal finance counselors in consumer credit. They are professionally dedicated to assisting clients with their fundamental money management and help communities by providing workshops dedicated to financial topics. Guest Speakers include Cassie Ellis, CPA, of Fullaway Lamphear & Sauve, PLLC and Renee Roman, a Real Estate Attorney with Marine View Law & Escrow, PLLC. Topics covered will also include Home Loan Mod, Short Sale, Foreclosure, as well as Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure.

The workshop is scheduled for, Tuesday, July 12th at 6:00pm and will be held at 33530 1st Way S, Suite 100, Federal Way, WA 98003.
