Inaugural China Business Seminar/Grand Tour is launched.

May 10, 2006. Costa Mesa, CA. An innovative twist on learning how to do business in China has been combined with a “Grand Tour.” “This is the ultimate in mixing business with pleasure”, says Patrick D. Mulcahy, President of Team China/California. “After two decades of doing business in China, this is the first tour I’ve seen that combines business seminars in trade, import-export, match making with Chinese companies, tax and legal issues and meeting first hand senior USA and Chinese government officials.”

The business seminars take place on the 5-Star Victoria Cruises ship going up the famed Yangtze River to visit the Three Gorges Dam, and other scenic areas. Meetings and conferences are scheduled in Beijing, on the boat, and in Shanghai. Numerous tourist activities have been scheduled, including the Forbidden City, Great Wall, Ming Tombs and the Summer Palace. Hotels include the 5-Star China World Hotel (Beijing) and the 5-Star Pudong Shangri-La Hotel in Shanghai.

The tour dates are set for July 15-25, 2006. Mr. Mulcahy and a team of Chinese business experts will focus on how to create successful market entry strategies, how to meet the best Chinese partner, how to connect with outsourcing entities, the new WTO regulations, and insider tips on setting up business in the Middle Kingdom.

Participants will meet with the U.S. Department of Commerce officials in Beijing and in Shanghai for additional guidance on how the U.S. government can assist the small to medium size company to get off to a successful start. Marketing research data will be provided in many categories, from “Export Opportunities in Environmental Technologies & Equipment” to “Selling U.S. products into the China market, Franchising and Direct Marketing.” Contact: and/or
