SAP Ships Transportation Management Software on Promise: 8.0 Version Now Globally Available

SAP NEWSBYTE - SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced the general availability of the 8.0 release of the SAP® Transportation Management (SAP TM) application. Unveiled in April of this year, the new release significantly expands its scope of logistic and fulfillment management capabilities. First customers around the world, including Abudawood, Artoni, Cargill, C.H.Guenther and Owens Corning, are already deploying the software to improve customer service, reduce logistics costs and better manage complexity and compliance in moving global freight across the supply chain.

Commercial transportation is becoming more complex for the worldwide networks of shippers and logistics service providers (LSPs) moving raw materials, parts and finished goods through global supply chains. SAP TM helps these companies efficiently, quickly and accurately orchestrate the movement of goods.
