Bay Area News Group Ranks HDS Third among Top Workplaces; Makes List for Third Consecutive Year

(NYSE: HIT), today announced that for the third consecutive year, it has been named among the top ten best places to work in the San Francisco Bay Area, according to a list published by the Bay Area News Group, publisher of the San Jose Mercury News and other leading news sites and publications. Hitachi Data Systems was ranked third out of 1,200 company entries.

The ranking was published in the San Jose Mercury News, Oakland Tribune, Contra Costa Times, and San Mateo County Times. Among the 1,200 entries, 65 companies earned a place in the Top Workplaces rankings.

The ranking was based on a confidential survey of employees at different workplaces in the San Francisco Bay Area. The survey covered topics such as company leadership, values, communications, training and development, compensation, and working conditions and culture. Some of the areas that Hitachi Data Systems employees were most satisfied with include the company’s values-oriented culture, the global and career opportunities, personal and technical development, excellent health and life benefits, a state-of-the-art gym and tools for work-life balance.
