Codina Partners To Break Ground on Cordoba II Apartments In Downtown Doral


CORAL GABLES, Fla. – (June 22, 2011) – Codina Partners, a boutique real estate investment and development firm, in association with CM Doral Development Company, today announced that the groundbreaking for Cordoba II, a second residential rental building in Downtown Doral, is scheduled for June 22 at 11 a.m. The 230-unit building will be the second phase of the luxury rental community Cordoba Downtown Doral, located at 8111 N.W. 53rd Street in Miami.

“We’re moving forward with Cordoba II because of the success that we’ve had with the first phase of Cordoba Downtown Doral that is currently 99 percent occupied,” says Armando Codina, Chief Executive Officer of Codina Partners. “We are committed to our work in the City of Doral with Downtown Doral and look to complete this second phase by the first half of 2013.”

The four-story building will be located directly across from the first phase of Cordoba Downtown Doral and will consist mostly of one and two bedroom residences with more amenities than the first phase of Cordoba Downtown Doral. The rental units will range from 886-1,249 square feet. The property will also feature upgraded amenities including state-of-the-art fitness center, expansive court yards with summer kitchens, a large leasing office, a party room, pool and business center. Cordoba I achieved LEED Silver certification and Cordoba II will be built to same certification level to also attain the LEED Silver certification.

Codina Partners is the master developer for Downtown Doral and Doral Government Center. Downtown Doral, a 120-acre master-planned community, is destined to be the heart of the City of Doral and is also home to the new up to $22 million Doral Government Center. The mixed-use development will feature thousands of residential units and more than one million square feet of commercial space and an elementary school.
