Dell SecureWorks Wins Midsize Enterprise Summit East 2011 Innovation Award for Best Midmarket Solutions, Services
Atlanta, Georgia and Austin, Texas
Dell SecureWorks, a leading global provider of information security services, today announced it has won the Midsize Enterprise Summit (MES) East 2011 Innovation Awards in the category of Best Midmarket Solutions, Services.
The MES awards recognize leading IT solutions across eight categories, including best service, hardware and software solutions for the midmarket. The annual event, now in its 11th year, is hosted by Everything Channel, which produces channel-focused events and publications.
Winners were selected May 6 at the MES convention by IT decision-makers, who directly influence the products and services their companies and peers buy. The MES Innovation Awards measure attendees’ perceptions of vendor products, services and programs. Attendees evaluate and score each vendor’s presentation, message and presence throughout the event.
The MES East featured access to industry research, analyst-led sessions and vendor keynotes, and brought together senior IT executives with industry analysts and technology vendors. Attendees explored critical market issues and trends — such as mobility, cloud, and virtualization — affecting midmarket IT professionals and discussed leading IT solutions for those issues. The event was held May 3-7 at the Disney Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Fla.
Organizations of all sizes and across diverse industries — including Global 500 companies, mid-sized businesses, financial services, utilities, healthcare, retail and manufacturing — rely on Dell SecureWorks’ industry-leading security services to reduce risk, improve regulatory compliance and lower costs of managing IT security. Each day, Dell SecureWorks processes more than 15 billion events and sees more than 15,000 malware specimens and helps protect thousands of organizations globally.
“It is very rewarding to receive this recognition from IT decision makers who are in the trenches dealing with IT and budgetary issues daily, while trying to combat cyber attacks and protect their data and their customers,” said Mike Cote, vice president, Dell SecureWorks. “This award is a testament to Dell SecureWorks’ focus on providing information security services that address the true needs of IT security professionals, and allow customers to experience much greater ROI on their existing security investments.”
“The Innovation Awards honor the vendors with the most exceptional solutions to address today’s most pressing IT challenges,” said Robert DeMarzo, Sr. Vice President of Strategic Content at Everything Channel. “These dynamic, high-quality solutions clearly add value for customers and prospects, and we congratulate all the winning companies.”
