OKI Appoints Bluechip Infotech as New Distribution Partner

SYDNEY -- OKI Data Australia, an OKI Data Group company specializing in the printer business, has today announced the appointment of Bluechip Infotech as their new national distribution business partner in Australia effective this month.

In line with the vendors’ strategic direction to boost sales via the distribution model, Bluechip was selected as the best fit for the company, primarily in terms of go to market offering and channel strengths. In particular their reach into VAR, education, managed service providers (MSP) and SMB market segment.

“Bluechip provide an ideal fit for OKI Data as the markets we target are closely aligned and subsequently our resources are too,” says Greg Mikaelian, National Sales Manager for OKI Data Australia. “In addition to their strong presence in the eastern states, Bluechip also provide us with a foothold into both SA and WA markets” adds Mikaelian.

For Bluechip, the OKI Data partnership provides them an opportunity to re-engage the print segment, where they currently have no vendor alliance.
