Goodbody Selects Thomson Financial Across All Functions
London, 05/08/2006, Thomson Financial, an operating unit of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC: TSX: TOC), and leading provider of information and technology solutions to the worldwide financial community, today announced that Goodbody Stockbrokers, Ireland’s leading and longest established stockbroking firm, has deployed a combination of Thomson Financial’s applications across all of its functions.

Goodbody has signed a three-year, multi-million US Dollar contract with Thomson Financial, which replaced the incumbent market data providers. Under the terms of the contract, Thomson Financial will deploy a combination of its workflow applications to Goodbody users in Institutional Equities, Private Clients, International Bonds and Corporate Finance. This includes:
* 50 positions of Thomson GlobalTOPIC, the domestic real-time market data solution, with news and innovative, flexible trading functions for international trading requirements
* 30 positions of Thomson Datastream, the world’s largest historical financial numerical database of multiple asset classes in over 175 countries and 60 markets
* 5 positions of Thomson ONE Investment Banking, the leading desktop for investment banking. It offers a flexible framework that allows clients to combine Thomson and third-party resources with their own data and applications into a proprietary workflow solution that makes bankers more productive at generating business.
