JAPAN DEAL SIGNED
’Put the Needle on the Record’ has signed a deal with Nowon Media to bring the electronic music and DJ documentary to stores in Japan. Nowon Media has a solid track record in distributing titles in all genres of music and handling films such as ’Scratch’, ’Maestro’ and ’Better Living Through Circuitry’ in Japan.

The deal was negotiated by Taka Tsutsumi on behalf on Nowon Media and Jason Rem on behalf of REM Entertainment. “I think the content of the DVD product is attractive and it will do great in sales and promotion in Japan,” said Mr. Tsutsumi. “The film has good content and line up of DJs, and shows all the DJs working so hard. Also some good criticism and comment on the superstar DJ phenomena and serious inside view of club music industry. I thought it will be nice for us to represent this film with Japanese subtitles, and give viewers a serious guide for dance music culture and DJing.”

“We are very pleased to lock up this first deal with such a well-respected company and it is just the first of more deals to come,” said filmmaker Jason Rem. "I am currently in negotiation for United States, Canada and United Kingdom territories and should have an announcement closing those territories in the upcoming weeks.

In addition, the film will be represented at the 2006 CANNES FILM FESTIVAL by Phil Gorn of Wonderphil Productions. Phil will be at Marche du Film - The Palais -- Booth 22.05.
