(Fornebu, 5 May 2006): The agricultural purchasing organisation Agrikjøp has renewed and extended a framework agreement with Telenor covering the provision of voice communication solutions. The agreement runs for two years and is worth over NOK 100 million a year.

Agrikjøp is the purchasing organisation for Norwegian agricultural co-operatives, with members such as TINE, Gilde, Prior and Felleskjøpene. The agreement means that Telenor will supply services such as fixed telephony, mobile telephony, intelligent network services and mobile data solutions to the member businesses of the agricultural co-operative. Agrikjøp already has a similar framework agreement with Telenor covering broadband telephony, video communication and internal company data networks (IP VPN) and associated security services.

“We look forward to continuing the constructive collaboration with Telenor for another two years. Telenor has yet again demonstrated its ability to innovate, whilst at the same time giving us cost-optimal solutions,” said Knut Andre Johansen, Director of Agrikjøp.

“We are very pleased to continue our excellent collaboration with Agrikjøp. In this customer relationship, Telenor has been able to deliver a wide range of products and services from our portfolio, and we are proud to be the total supplier of telecommunication solutions to the most central players in the Norwegian agricultural co-operative sector,” said Stein-Erik Vellan, head of Telenor’s operations in the Norwegian business market.
