CommonWealth One is Celebrating National Credit Union Youth Week by Rocking Out!

WEBWIRE

CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union places critical importance on helping their members achieve financial independence and improve their standard of living through its products, services, commitment to financial education and community involvement. By promoting financial education and literacy to its members, CommonWealth One ensures that its members can make strong financial choices throughout their life.

Poor financial literacy test scores for young people illustrate that their awareness of financial issues must be improved. And while it can be hard to raise money-savvy kids, teaching them at a young age about financial literacy can help prevent financial problems when they become adults.

Credit unions are well positioned to help because we believe in the power of education to improve our members’ lives, as well as our communities. CommonWealth One is helping young people learn more about money management during National Credit Union Youth Week, Apr. 18-24.

As a grand finale to National Credit Union Youth Week, Main and Harrisonburg Regional branches will provide Paper Jamz Guitars for members of all ages to play on Sat., Apr. 23. Paper Jamz Guitars’ unique paper thin technology has a touch-sensitive surface instead of strings, so it’s easy for budding rockstars to play. Members, ages 2–18, can also enter to win the guitars. The winners will be drawn at the close of business on Saturday, and will be notified by email.
