Amazing deals at Europe’s best airport hotel
The Sofitel at Heathrow terminal 5 has been named the best airport hotel in Europe - and holidaymakers can stay there for less than £100 a night when they book with HolidayExtras.com.
The travel add-ons firm is offering rooms at the five-star hotel for an incredible £94.80* at weekends throughout August.
The hotel, which is connected to terminal 5 by a covered walkway, picked up the best airport hotel in Europe award at the Skytrax World Airport Awards in Copenhagen, and was also named third best airport hotel in the world.
The Sofitel has two restaurants, one with a menu designed by chef Albert Roux, a tearoom and 605 rooms.
Its crowning glory is its spa, where guests can have a massage or spend time in the Hydro pool, the sauna, the steam room or the 24-hour gym.
The nominations were based on a survey of more than 860,000 hotel guests. Hotels were judged on comfort, cleanliness, food and drink, service, location and transfers to and from the airport.

This is the first year that the awards have recognised airport hotels and the Sofitel was the only UK hotel in the top 10.
It was beaten to the title of best airport hotel in the world by the Regal Airport Hotel at Hong Kong International airport and the Crowne Plaza at Singapore Changi airport.
