Publication Names Kaiser Permanente Best Place for Diverse Managers to Work
OAKLAND, Calif. — For the third consecutive year, Kaiser Permanente ranks No. 1 on Diversity MBA Magazine’s “50 Out Front for Diversity Leadership: Best Places for Diverse Managers to Work.”
This achievement is based on research commissioned by Diversity MBA Magazine that studied Kaiser Permanente’s ethnic representation, recruitment strategies, retention, succession and accountability.
“Kaiser Permanente is absolutely committed to promoting diversity at every level of our organization,” said George Halvorson, chairman and chief executive officer of Kaiser Permanente. “Through our diverse employee population, we’re better able to collectively understand and respond to needs of communities we serve and those who trust us with the care of their health. We believe our diversity has made Kaiser Permanente a stronger, more robust organization.”
Diversity MBA Magazine, a quarterly publication that aims to serve the needs of multicultural professionals in corporate America, business students and entrepreneurs, will recognize Kaiser Permanente in its May edition.
Kaiser Permanente will also be recognized in the publication’s list of “Top 10 Best in Class Categories for: Representation, Board Diversity, Retention & Inclusion, Succession Planning & Accountability.”
“To win this award three years in a row is a true testament to the culture of Kaiser Permanente,” said Pamela McElvane, publisher and CEO of Diversity MBA Magazine. “Kaiser Permanente is not only an industry leader but a marketplace leader. They are truly the model for setting the standards of institutionalizing diversity and inclusion in the workplace.”
