Canada’s Largest National Business School Leadership Conference Selects CampusCurrent to Replace its Printed Delegate Handbook With An Interactive Mobile Application

Kelowna, BC (April 7, 2011) – RoundTable 2011 and its presenting sponsor CGA Ontario hosted 33 business schools across Canada from March 3 to March 6, 2011 in Kelowna, BC. The conference selected mobile development platform CampusCurrent to provide delegates with mobile access to conference schedules and events. In addition to including all information contained in a traditional delegate handbook, the mobile application also allowed delegates to bookmark items in their personal workshop schedule and add itinerary items to their smartphone’s on-deck calendar.

To ensure that every delegate with a compatible smartphone had the opportunity to download the mobile application, Roundtable 2011 included a scan-to-install QR code on the reverse side of each delegate nametag to allow delegates to install the application by taking a picture of the mobile bar code.

“We are excited to be able to keep delegates on schedule using devices that they keep with them at all times,” said Jamie Moran, vice-president, marketing, RoundTable 2011. “This is especially important because delegates like to travel light when attending off-site events. It also helps us notify delegates en masse. If an itinerary item changes, we can now make the change on-the-fly. This sort of accessibility and flexibility is just not available using a traditional delegate handbook.”
