First Mobile Healthcare Vendor App Previews at AORN Congress

WEBWIRE

Attendees at AORN Congress in Philadelphia have a chance to preview the first mobile application for healthcare vendor credentialing. Vendormate Mobile will allow healthcare industry representatives to sign out after visiting hospitals through their smartphones.

“Healthcare sales and service representatives are constantly on the go. After they finish with one appointment, they need to head to the next. We want to help speed them on their way by letting them use their smartphones,” said Bill Hayes, Vendormate President.

Hospitals have become increasingly interested in monitoring who is in their facilities for safety reasons. Simply by logging into the application and entering their visitor badge number, healthcare representatives will notify their hospital accounts that they are leaving the facility. This application will improve the accuracy of hospital records by making it easier for representatives to sign out.

Vendormate, the leader in healthcare vendor credentialing, is also collecting feedback from hospitals and healthcare sales professionals at AORN to determine which mobile applications to develop next.

The public can see the preview of the app at www.vendormate.com/mobile. The app will be available for iPhone, iPad, and Android platforms in May, 2011.
