MELBOURNE, Florida, May 1, 2006 — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) today recognized a number of its small business suppliers during an annual awards ceremony held at the company’s Palm Bay, Florida facility. Among this year’s Small Business Award winners are four Brevard County-based companies: B&D Machine and Tool, Inc., and Southeastern Engineering, both in Palm Bay; and Amertron and CCCS, both in West Melbourne.

“Small businesses play a significant role in our commitment to satisfying customer expectations for the highest levels of quality and performance, service, on-time delivery, and cost-effectiveness,” said Don Weiss, director, Materiel, Harris Government Communications Systems Division. “This is our way of recognizing those suppliers who have met our high standards and who are helping us meet or exceed the expectations of our customers.”

The criteria used for selecting the Small Business Award winners included total calendar year 2005 dollars placed with the supplier, exceptional customer service, consistently high quality and on-time schedule ratings, and the highest number of Harris procurement/subcontract buyer votes.
