New York, NY, March 11, 2011 - Carroll Musical Instrument Rentals has announced the addition of a new Musser M-55 vibraphone to their extensive inventory of rental instruments. The M-55 was chosen primarily because it is the vibraphone of choice among touring professionals. With a 3-octave Pro-vibe, this vibraphone is just the latest in a long line of quality Ludwig-Musser instruments that generations of musicians have come to love.

The M-55 features a new frame design which is adjustable and makes the instrument easy to move around. The hand-tuned bars and mitered and arched resonators give the M-55 that classic Musser tone, while the swiveling sustain pedal provides for a perfect feel. Throw in a padded, variable-speed motor, an adjustable damper bar, and the Musser suspension system and you have a frame that’s both quiet and free of tone distortion.

The M-55 was specifically designed for portability, and Carroll has taken it one step further by having a custom travel case built by C and D Case Company. Thus far, Carroll’s M-55 has been used by touring musicians like Gary Burton, Steve Nelson, and Jay Holgard.
