Memorex Honored for Contributions to Local School District

CERRITOS, Calif. - April 28, 2006 - Memorex, the leading retail provider of digital media in North America, has been recognized by the local ABC Unified School district for its commitment to enriching technology in education. Memorex received a Certificate of Appreciation for donating nearly 2,000 individual computer technology products to ABC Unified schools, including Memorex CD and DVD media, USB flash drives, optical drives, multimedia keyboards and mice. Over the course of Memorex’s fiscal year, which closed on March 31st, the company has donated nearly $350,000 worth of products to schools and charities across several US locations where Memorex has operations.

Since relocating its headquarters to the City of Cerritos two years ago, Memorex has been working with the ABC Unified School District to determine an ongoing technology donation program to best help its local schools.
