DirectRooms.com – Heathrow hosts world’s only conference dedicated to ground support equipment

DirectRooms reports that delegates from the airline and airport sectors will be meeting at Heathrow to discuss issues and management decisions related to all areas of facilities used for servicing airplanes.

GSE Buyers’ Conference 2011 is dedicated to manufacturers and procurers of all types of Ground Support Equipment. The forum will feature the core industry members who will be discussing topics on the buying strategies for equipment and what factors are likely to affect the sector in the coming years.

Along with the airplanes, the equipment that is used to service and provide assistance on the ground is a multi million pound industry and requires continued planning. The forum will be discussing areas such as the outlook for the market after the recession and how this has been reduced and the effect on service providers. Other topics are due to analyse the benefits and disadvantages of outsourcing and undertaking work in-house.

The conference is being staged at the Hilton at Heathrow Airport from 11th to 12th April 2011, and as an international event related to all members of the service community, many delegates will be flying in for the conference.
