Central Florida is no stranger to wildfires and today the Orlando Sentinel reported that hundreds of firefighters from more than a dozen agencies are battling a blaze near the Brevard-Volusia county line. The fire is reported to be 25% contained and has already burned more than 16,000 acres.

Roads have been shut down and hundreds of homes have had their occupants evacuated. Thick smoke is visible for miles. Wildfires like these in populated areas can easily cause death and destruction.
